Cavity Prevention Plan

The goal is to have straight healthy teeth and gums at the end of your orthodontic treatment. We'll take care of the straight part, it's your job to maintain healthy teeth and gums. Decay and gingivitis is not pretty and you can actually scar your teeth by not brushing. 

We advise you to brush your teeth after every time you eat, but it's most important to clean after dinner and before bed. It's a bit of a ritual, but your results depend on it. Here are the steps:

1.  Brush with a manual toothbrush or Oral-B Electric Brush.  Use Crest Pro-Health or Colgate Total toothpaste; these are the Doctor's recommendations. 

2. Floss with SuperFloss or SoftPicks

3. Use the proxy brush we provide you

4.  Kill remaining bacteria with a mouth wash. We recommend an antimicrobial mouth rinse like Listerine or Crest Pro-Health.
